I used to regularly backup my favorites and emails, but I can't even
figure out where thunderbird stores them.
Where are they? Thanks.
Actually, I just meant emails. I already figured out favorites...
I want to back them up using carbonite, so I need a location.
will Mozbackup know where to put things in Windows 7? Somehow I doubt that.

within the Profiles directory, go to Mail, and then your server
directory. There you will find a file 'Inbox'. No extension. That
file contains your email.
I don't. I've used it several times on Windows 7. In fact, I just
recently used it to transfer my TB and FF profiles from one laptop to
another, both of which run Windows 7.
I doubt very much if it uses hard-coded paths, but rather checks the
registry or uses environmental variables.
I doubt it, since there would be no evidence where to look, and I don't
remember if it gives you the option to locate the path yourself.
Of course, with a portable installation, assuming it's on a flash drive
or something, kind of makes MozBackup unnecessary.
Just used it again, and it has an option for portable installations, so
apparently the answer is YES.
