2. bug fixing
ContactEws 1.1 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/contact-ews/)
1. change to async call when doing resolve names

CalendarEws 1.0 (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/calendar-ews/)

Awesome!!! I can't wait to try these out. It may be the weekend before I
have time (been slammed for the last couple of months here actually),
but this is important to me, as soon I'll be forced to flip the switch
on our OFfice365 migration, and I have no intention of using Outlook for
email, and would love to be able to continue using Thunderbird for
Calendars/Contacts as well...

Questions...

Do you have any docs/info/web page that discusses any known limitations?

For example - should I expect Shared Calendars/Contacts to also work, or
just my Personal Calendar/Contacts?Contacts...

Also, do you have a bug system? I'll be happy to report any bugs I
encounter when setting it up.

Thanks so much Jingnan!

Hi Jingnan,

Any chance you could respond to these questions? It will help me know
what to expect and look for this weekend when I hopefully will have time
to try them out.

Thanks again! This is amazing news, and I'm really hoping these will
work well enough to keep me from having to use Outlook for interacting
with my Calendar and Contacts on Office365...

Hi Jingnan,

I finally got the go ahead recently to pulled the trigger on our Office
365 migration (not my idea, but I'm the one who had to do it), and am
now ready to test this, but I can't for the life of me figure out how
I'm supposed to ad my calendars.

Also, both MailEws and ContactEws Addons have disappeared from the
Addons site (links below don't work for those two)...

Do I need MailEws for CalendarEws to work?

And is there any docs at all on how to use/implement them?

Thanks again, very excited to try these out!

I have no experience with any of this.

Here's the (old, outdated) Moz Add-ons link, but the comments say to go
to github, which follows

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/provider-for-microsoft-exchang/?src=search
The lightning-exchange-provider addon allows you to use Microsoft
Exchange calendars in Thunderbird, via Exchange’s web services.

https://github.com/Ericsson/exchangecalendar/wiki/Exchange-EWS-Provider
Welcome on the wiki page of the only add-on for Thunderbird and
Seamonkey which will add access to you Exchange calendars, contacts and
Global Address List [GAL]. It is an add-on for the Lightning.
Calendering Add-on and will allow you to communicate with an Exchange
2007, 2010 and 2013 server using the Exchange Web Service [EWS]
interface. You can access any Calendar, Task or Contacts folder on the
EWS server in an easy way.

Thank you for you still interesting in the project, but the addon is rejected by mozilla, not because anything bad found in the source but because I can't provide a test server.

If you still want to test it, I could upload to somewhere else, maybe github?

Hi Jingnan,

Thanks very much for responding, and yes, I very much want to test it!

Github would be fine by me...

If I am not mistaken, Thunderbird will NOT be enforcing Addon signing
(thank the computer gods) like Firefox will be doing beginning with
version 46, so, you can just continue hosting it wherever you like.

Also - are there any docs or instructions on how to use it?

Thanks again!

Hi Jingnan,

Ok, 2 problems...

1. Right-clicking on the Addons and downloading them results in
corrupted/truncated files - attempting to install the downloaded Addon
results in a failed install due to invalid package.

But, if I left-click the file, while I do get the message about a
truncated file, it allows me to download the 'Raw' file, which is an
Addon that I am able to install in TB.

2. After installing the Addon (with only Lightning 4.0.5.2 installed),
TB will successfully restart... until I add the first EWS account - when
I do, it crashes as soon as I click 'OK', and crashes every time after that.

I will be able to provide more details and test some more later, but
wanted to mainly let you know about the corrupt/truncated Addon/file on
github, as that is possibly the problem...

Thanks again! I'll provide more details later...

Haven't had time to do more testing yet, but I forgot to mention - it
did seem to find the correct server connection details (this is an
Office 365 account), but then, like I said, it crashes as soon as I hit OK.
