Is there any way to get Thunderbird to display the number of messages
and their sizes in the Inbox and other Folders as Seamonkey does? - MikeyG

Using the default theme

At the top of the Folder Pane there is the title
"Name" and to the right of that a little box, click the little box.

You can select Unread, Total and Size here and the results will show in
the Folder pane.

Some themes may not have this available, if so, simply switch back to
the default theme and select the settings you wish, then go back to your
regular theme.

That indicator for additional col has to be activated in the
Options/Preferences dialog using the Advanced > General tab.
