Delete button didn't work

I've never run into this before. When I read a message and hit
"delete," nothing happened. Any message in any folder.

The "fix" was easy: just close the program and open it again, and
everything was normal.
But has anyone ever had this happen to them? And, why did it happen?

Over the past couple of weeks, Mozilla has developed several problems
for me; one of them, the delete key doesn't work, nor does the junk key.
It is downloading messages very slowly, says that I have 1000's of
email (when in reality there is less than 100). I don't understand what
is causing these problems, and in checking the bug log, there are 100's
ob bugs!!!! Doesn't look like this will be an easy fix.

What 'bug' log?
Have you tried compacting the folders? Have you tried deleting the .msf
files?

That is usually the cause. Once you close and reopen, the Trash folder
is recreated.
