You goto the drafts folder and read the post you want to finish. Then
select "Edit as New" to get it into the compose window. From there you
select send if it is ready, or after you have finished any revisions.

Kernel Restore reported BSOD use by Major Error to msg the enemy!
or just double click it and hit send.

Thanks - that seems a somewhat tortuous process! So presumably there is
no way of saving a number of messages to send them off in one batch, if
each one has to be individually selected and "edited as new".

send later = ctrl+shift+return pushes the message to the "unsent" folder.
Anyway, the Send Later add-on lets you pick a time to send your
messages, stores them in the Drafts folder until the time you choose,
then sends them.

So it does - but having got to the "unsent" folder, how is it then
"sent" - and in particular how are all the contents of that folder sent?

Thanks, that sounds promising - I'll try it.

That would be a false presumption.
You should not be using "save as draft" if you want this. "Draft"
means the message is unfinished and should not be sent.
"File -> Send Later" will put the message in the unsent folder,
ready for sending off in one batch.
"File -> Send Unsent Messages" will send them off in one batch.

See anything relevant in your options if you click "File" on the Main Menu?
Explore menus. There are useful things in them.

Doubt would be appropriate, since I don't know how to do that, other
than to say there's probably an extension for it.
it's easy enough to do yourself - search the extensions at AMO to
interface to the command. iirc "buttons" might be one such extension.
there are also several suggestions and extensions mentioned in the
knowledge base - visit http://kb.mozillazine.org/ and search on unsent.
AMO is https://addons.mozilla.org
I'm glad you told me that! Thanks very much - MagicSLR does just what I
wanted.

TB creates it on a "when needed" basis. "File --> Send Later"
(or <Ctrl-Shift-Return> if you're keybord-oriented) will create the
folder if it doesn't already exist and place the message in it.
