Ever since I upgraded to TB 3.0 the Mc Afee anti span icon has not
worked. This is the addon icon that McAfee puts into TB, to manage spam
which gives you the ability to mark/ unmark items as spam.

Is anyone but me having a problem with this addon?

Is it a McAfee problem or TB?

TB3.0
Windows XP SP#
HP 6130 laptop
HP 1140 desktop.

Keith Nuttle expressed an opinion:

It's a McAfee problem until they update their add-on to work with Tb3.

Funny how they often appear at the bottom of messages, isn't it?

Why use McAfee to provide a feature that already exists? The spam
filter in Tb works just fine, if you just train it for a while.

I am using the TB spam filtering, in fact I had it set up to put both
McAfee spam and TB spam into the same spam directory. Without the TB
spam filter, the fact that McAfee does not work is an irritation.

Since the McAfee addon can not be easily removed, I am one of those
people who find it annoying if it does not work, whether you use it or not.

In Tb3, it's easier than ever to train the built-in spam filter, simply
by clicking on the flame junk icon next to the date in the message list.

In the Junk folder, there is another icon to mark good mail as Not Junk.

I am also having the same problem.

I like the McAfee spam detection because it worked better than TB V2.x.
I guess I will have bug them about a "fix" for this to support TB3.

Good luck. I was on the phone with both their level one and two
technicians for several hours a day for about two days. After
reinstalling McAfee, the only response was reinstall TB3.0

I will wait until TB3.01 and see if McAfee has caught up.

PS: I thought it was the McAfee management of spam that was the problem.
However I separated the junk boxes and McAfee picks up nothing and TB
3.0 junk filter picks up the rest.

I went on the McAfee site yesterday and had a on-line conference with a
"technician". To make a long story short, I enabled him to access my
machine remotely. He made a couple of changes to the McAfee software and
declared the situation corrected. The changes I saw him make made no
sense to me. But, anyway after disconnecting and receiving new email
found not to my surprise that it's not fixed.

My problem is: McAfee correctly identifies SPAM. I know this because I
changed what it puts on the SPAM message. However it leaves it in the
Inbox. If I try to change a message to NOT SPAM, or a message to SPAM
nothing happens.

Oh well, I'm sure sooner or later someone will find a solution. BTW I'm
using McAfee Internet Security Suite.

If this bothers you, just change the settings to turn off that feature.
TB has pretty good spam filtering with its junk filter, once you spend
a few days training it.
