Hi guys,

I've got T-bird set up to work with Outlook 365's IMAP functionality. Everything works fine except when a rule in Outlook (web only) places an email in a folder. Thunderbird doesn't notify me of the new message, and I have to click on the folder to see it.

While I could set up rules in Thunderbird, and would much rather do so, I need to have my mail filtered at the source, so it's properly filed on all of my devices.

Is there some setting I can tweak or something I need to do on Outlook 365 to get notified without opening the folder?

Thanks!

opto

In my case TB filtering works for all devices when the new folder is also oon imap.
Only drawback.. the pc with TB and filter must be up anf running.
Otherwise filtering will be delayef until that TBY is started

Yep, that's what I'm trying to avoid.

Right-clicking on each IMAP folder in TB and selecting "When getting new messages for this account, always check this folder" appears to be working, but it's not conclusive yet.
