Anyway, I was thinking of making a backup, but then realized that the TB
address book could hardly be a WAB file. Any suggestions?

So, You Think You Know Everything?
Did you know that a cat has 32 muscles in each ear.
I'd suggest you open your AB, run Export of it into .ldif format, put
that file in a safe place. Now quit the app., and remove the file ending
in .mab from your Profile. Reopen 'Bird, and open AB, which should be
empty. Now import the .ldif file you just created.
This does two things: Gives you a great backup copy, and can remove
oddities from the AB itself.

funny you should said that. I received my Sun Microsystems T-Shirt
the other day. The slogan said: "The average human uses only 10% of
his brainpower. Find nine other people." :-D
then i noticed that address cards on which i had entered display names
didn't lose fields... but i've never liked "display names"...
surely you and i aren't the only two people who have encountered this
problem which makes the tb addressbook completely unreliable...

Ah, HA! So I'm not crazy, and yes, these lists are ones I BCC. I am
still getting used to Mozilla, and am unsure that if I send a message
"TO: Crime Watch" will it show that as the recipient on everybodys
message, or will it show everybodys address to everybody else!? If that
is the form, then there is no need to BCC. Otherwise, perhaps this
should be reported as a bug.
