Webmail - AOL / Netscape extension alert

It used to work OK, but lately while downloading webmail I get the
following alert:

Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server localhost responded:
Comms Error from emfri...@aim.com

Then I am asked to reenter the password, I do, and downloading of
webmail continues OK.

Does anybody else has the same problem.

That was the second time I had a problem with a webmail extension. Both
times the problem was corrected by uninstalling the particular extension
and reinstalling it. I start to wonder whether there is some flaw in the
mechanism of having the extension autoinstalled...
