I am also on comcast and have no issue at all with TB and attachments. Any ideas what may be wrong.
BTW, comcast refuses to help him and says they only work with MS outlook.

Hardly anyone uses Outlook except businesses.
Comcast works fine for me. You have to learn how to configure
Thunderbird properly,
Mail server: mail.comcast.net, port 110, no secure connection.
SMTP server: smtp.comcast.net
News server: news.comcast.net
The issue is sending attachments. Emails without attachments work fine. I have gone over all his account
settings and they are fine. So TB is configured properly.
It seems that the message starts to go then times out at 11% or so. I had him change the time out duration, but
that did not help. Then he gets a message about contacting his isp for smtp issues.
Help.

Is this happening with small attachments, say 100 Kb or smaller? Are
there specific file types being effected?

Who is General Failure, and why is he searching my HDD?
Kernel Restore reported Major Error used BSOD to msg the enemy!
It appears all attachments, but he mostly sends jpg (pictures) to others. The one he keeps trying to send is
about 500kb so my guess is most are that size since I am sure he does not make them smaller. That size does work
with aol but not TB.
