Windows 7
Thunderbird 31.3.0

I was logging the junk processing. I selected [Tools > Security > Junk]
and checked the "Enable adaptive junk filter logging" checkbox.

Today, I looked at the log and decided I don't want to log junk
filtering anymore. With logging still enabled, I selected the Clear Log
button on the Adaptive Junk Mail Log window; but nothing happened. Yes,
the button depressed when I clicked on it; but the log was not cleared.

How do I rid my PC of this log? Is there a bug report on this?

I am sticking with SeaMonkey 2.26.1 until saved passwords can
be used when autocomplete=off. See

Hi David.

The log is called "filterlog.html" and there is one in each mail folder
and news folder where you enabled filter logs. If you enabled filter
logs for a specific newsgroup rather than at the server level, then you
will have a "newsgroupname.htm" file as the log for that group. Just
browse over to your profile and delete the files manually... FYI, I just
tried clearing one of my logs from the interface and it worked fine,
dunno why it's not working for you...

Regards,

The adaptive junk log is apparently separate from the filter logs. The
controls for it are in [Tools > Options > Security > Junk], which is
global for Thunderbird, not specific to any account.

In any case, I was able to clear the junk log, after which I disabled
it. I do not see any value in logging the adaptive junk filter. I do
log the filters that I create for accounts (E-mail and news servers) and
for individual newsgroups. I have no trouble clearing those.

Lol, I got it all wrong, you were talking about the JUNK log. Well, that
one I do not know where it is, and as I just cleared mine to see if it
worked for me (it did) I cannot use the contents to look for the file
itself anymore, it's blank. Anyway, glad to see you were able to clear it.

Best Regards,

I don't know who checked it (could be me, but I don't remember.

"Clear Log" turns blue briefly, but the log does not clear.

Clearing "Enable..." grays out the "Show Log button.

I can not find the log anywhere on this Windows 8.1 system.

I can clear the filter logs, but I would like to find them so I can do
masked searches--the toy given does not (as near as I can tell) allow
anything but viewing 2 at a time through thousands.

No search using file names or file contents has disclosed the location
of any of the logs on this Windows 8.1 machine.

Is there a way to make the files accessible to the Event Viewer?
