This Thunderbird Support list is an example of a list that doesn't have
a standard subject, but I thought it was consistently addressed to
"support-t...@lists.mozilla.com." However I just received the
following list message (see below) addressed only to "Mike Easter
<Mi...@ster.invalid>"
Has the configuration of the list changed?
Is it possible for Thunderbird to filter messages like this into a
folder reserved for Thunderbird-Support messages?
(I'm using Ubuntu 9.10's Version 2.0.0.24 of Thunderbird.)
Thanks,
John Hicks

Looking at the headers (which I've snipped for brevity) it looks
like a message which was originally sent both to the mailing list and
to Mike, with Mike's copy getting bounced because of an invalid
address, and the bounced copy getting sent back through the list
again.

You might be able to construct a filter with a customized field
containing a header that's common to all messages you receive from the
mailing list. In the drop-down for the box where you select the field
to filter on (Subject, From, Date, To, etc.) select "Customize..."
from the bottom of the list and define the field you want to use.

The list address is .org not .com. So that should be
<support-t...@lists.mozilla.org>.
