Hi

I have only just started using TB as my email program and during the
testing process (I had an initial problem sending emails) I sent several
test emails to my husband. The saved copies were fine and included a
time stamp AND a date stamp as you would expect. However, today I've
sent two emails and although both have a time stamp, that is all they
have, i.e. no date stamp. So far as I am aware, I've not done anything
at all to the setup to tell TB not to include a date stamp and I can't
find anywhere in the setup that enables me to change such a setting.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this since there's little
point in keeping a copy if you don't know what date it was sent? The
problem may even show up on this message. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Tracey

PS I've just had a look at the Sent.msf file and it looks on the face of
it as though the date stamp is there, but its just not being displayed.
Still looking for ideas.

Sorry folks I've just caught on the TB doesn't put in a date stamp until
at least the following day. Not something I'm used to I must be honest.
Still problem solved - and sorry for the dual message/s.

That's correct. TB doesn't display the date for messages and/or
newsgroup posts written on the current day. If you're ever awake and
using TB at midnight you can watch the display change as "today"
becomes "yesterday" and TB adds the date to the display.

Optionally the date can have three states.
1)Just the time for the current day.
2)Day name and tine for current week.
3)A full year/month/time for over 7 days.

There is an an add-on named 'Config Date' that helps set the dates format.
