Hi all,

I still worry about the following:

I have procmail pre-sorting my emails;
I want to read these sorted mailboxes with thunderbird
But: I also want to manage these mailboxes by thunderbird !

I first store the different mailboxes in a directory thunderbird can
access:
Thunderbird can show these mails, It even moves or deletes these
mails, however, when I start TB anew, all mails are back in the
mailbox. I.e. TB does not expunge the unix-mail-spool containing
the messages.

Second attempt: let thunderbird keep its own storage structure, and use
the procmail-spools as inboxes:
This works well with the box directed to by the MAIL
env-variable, but all other spools are not recognized and thus
not read at all.

Is there any workaround ?

I do not want to change my whole e-mailing to be handled by TB alone !
However with the metamail package apparently gone from stand-alone
support I need a tool to handle MIME messages.

Have a happy new year
