no se estoy desorientada, me aparecen continuamente mensajes del año
anterior.Alguna vez lei que Tunderbir tiene un sistema de Box pero, no
se si es una extencion que yo no realice.

I think (s)he means that the Inbox is behaving strangely.

Since year-old messages appear at random, it sounds like an uncompacted,
very large Inbox to me. If I knew the Spanish menu items, I would advise
the usual:

Highlight account > Files > Compact folders.

But there's undoubtedly more to be done to clean up his/her Thunderbird.

Mira si ordenas los mensajes por fecha, ya sea hacia arriba o
descendente. De alli en adelante los nuevos se iran agregando en la
punta reciente. Si es acá que te aparecen nuevos "no leídos" viejos, muy
viejos, entonces mejor cierra TB, vuelves a entrar y dal Compactar
Carpetas. Eso de demora algo, espera a que termina.
