Hi,
When I double click pon an attacehd pdf file I get:

"file could not be opened, because the associated helper application
does not exist. Change the association in your preferences".

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem with image files, even though (1) TB was set to
use Irfanview and (2) Irfanview was installed!

Where are the settings for "Attachments" stored?

In the profile folder, in mimeTypes.rdf

That's it! I had copied my profile from a Vista to a 7 machine. Names of
the folders have changed and mimeTypes.rdf didn't point to the right folder.
Thanks to all!

Install Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.3 (www.adobe.com), it is free and
provides plug-ins.

I am seeing this same issue and it's not the lack of associated reader,
as I have Okular installed and associated. Both system wide and in TB
prefs. If I save the file I can open it in Okular. If I open the same TB
profile in Lanikai I can simply click on the attachment and Okular
opens, but in TB3.0.4 it throws the error.
