Hello all,

I'm using Thunderbird 3.0 Beta 4 and I'm connecting to an IMAP account.

When I delete a message, it doesn't show up in my Trash folder.

Also, my trash folder seems to be Greyed out and in italic. Is there
anything wrong with it?

If I go to webmail, I can see the emails I have deleted are inside the
trash folder, but Thunderbird is not displaying them.

I would like to be able to see emails in the trash folder, both for
simple recovery and for a visual indication of when I should empty and
compact the folder.

Any ideas how to sort this? I have looked into all the settings I can find.

Thanks
Damian

not sure why your problem exists but I'm curious about how you know they
are in trash when TB won't display them.
Are you seeing just the subject headers or some such but can't open the
entire message?

Hello,

Thanks for replying.

I'm not seeing anything at all in the Trash folder in Thunderbird. No
headers, nothing. However, if I use my webmail and look in the trash
folder, I can see the messages that I have deleted, marked for deletion.

Hope that helps

Your toolbar View may be set to Unread, in which case any messages you
delted after reading won't show up.

May be you don't have access/subscribed to Trash folder. Can you find
any message in Trash folder at all? make sure you are using correct view
settings folder that folder as 'Greywolf' suggested.

If there is no message in Trash folder right click on the account name
in folder pane and select Subscribe. unsubscribe and re-subscribe to
trash folder.
Does it make any difference in behavior?

Sorted it. It wasn't subscribed to the trash folder for some reason.

Thanks for the help!
