While sending a post regarding my RSS issue, I encountered yet another
problem (which has happened at least once before) - when I send a
message on TB, the computer crashes (in the first case, it happened
before the message was sent; in the second, after). So far it seems to
happen only when posting to this newsgroup, not replying to email.

Any ideas?

Tb can crash itself. But it can't whole system unless system itself has
problems.
See this bug report [1]. My suggestions are :

1. Start your OS in safe mode so that no third-party process will not be
automatically started. Now try to reproduce same problem.

2. Defragment your hard disk.

Most BSOD stops are caused by driver problems. Make sure you have the
latest video drivers, and HD drivers for your computer. Sometimes
hardware problems, like power supply, and ram errors can cause these
stops. I sometimes get them related to the Network Interface Board
after a power outage because the router sends bad data.
