I think a couple of months ago, there was an Eudora user posting to one
of the *MOZILLA* groups.

Now why would they suggest your posting here?? Sure the programs are
both based on Gecko 1.9, or some such, but I'm sure there must be more
differences than there are similarities!!
Welcome aboard.

I don't know why but they did. There doesn't appear to be that much
difference from Thunderbird, basically it's TBird 3.0 Beta4 with the
Penelope add-on preinstalled. They've also replaced the default icons
with ones that are in the Eudora 7.1 set. The Penelope add-on let one
choose between the Eudora or Thunderbird shortcuts, and gives you a
choice of a 3-pane or 2-pane window view. The 3-pane is the classic
view that anyone who's ever used TBird is familiar with, and the 2-pane
has 2 separate windows. One window just has the folder tree, and the
other has the message list and message preview window.
Oh BTW I'm not new to Thunderbird, I've been using it or Mozilla for
over 9 years now. It's just that in the past I haven't been that active
in the newsgroups...
