Hi Folks,

I am using Instant Bird 1.5, and I just started using it a few weeks back.

I only use it for Facebook Chat.

I was able to make things work just fine for about five/six weeks, and now,
I cannot log on to FB or see any of my contacts on FB via IB.

I receive: Error: Not Authorized, did you enter the wrong password?, which,
after following the necessary steps on the Instant Bird FAQ, for ensuring
proper success between FB and IB, I cannot log in, no matter what methods I
try.

I can, of course, use my current PW to log into, and out of FB, just fine,
along with the FB Messenger site.

Please note: I had made no system changes, and one night I was using FB Chat
via Instant Bird, and the next morning, I was Out!!

Has FB finally pulled their support for XMPP, such that IB is no longer able
to properly log in FB Chat users, who are using XMPP clients??

There was some talk, awhile back about XMPP and FB no longer being
supported, and I wonder if other Instant Bird users, are still able to log
into Facebook Chat?

The short answer is "Yes". Unfortunately it was working for most of the
developers until recently (more information at
http://blog.instantbird.org/2016/01/facebook-chat-issues/).

We're working to fix the issue, but it requires writing a new protocol
from scratch and we work on Instantbird in our spare time...so it's
taking longer than we wanted.

Sorry for taking so long to respond,
