Contact List Issue

Hi,
I have installed instantbird 1.3 last night and it works beautifully. Just
it has some problem in contact list. The problem i am facing is that i have
two gmail accounts and two accounts have some common buddies. Now
instantbird mix the contacts of my two accounts. I arrange my contacts in
different tags but it is not working.
I have one account say us...@gmail.com and second account us...@gmail.com.
Now user1 and user2 has a common friend bu...@gmail.com. Now instantbird
mix my contact list. I want to ask is there a way i can separate my
contacts of one account in a group like i group in pidgin. I know Tag is
similar to group but it is not working in my case. May be i am missing
something or do now know how to do things in instantbird. Thank you in
advance for your help.

Irfan,

Thank you for your interest in Instantbird! I'm glad you're enjoying
using it. Unfortunately the "issue" you describe is done on purpose, we
purposefully do not separate groups in the contact list by account. I
have a feeling what is frustrating you is bug 206 (yes, an old one!)
[1]: there's currently no way to choose which account to use when
instant messaging someone if both accounts have the same buddy.
