Firefox is setup to do auto updates. Guess it could
be disabled but I'll deal with that later.

First question: Update is announced. I can opt for
only 2 things; install the update now or let Firefox
update itself the next time it's started up. Is there
some way I can tell it not to do the update at all?

Second: When the update is done, Firefox opens NOT in
my selected home page, but into some FF page telling
me the update has been done. How can I eliminate this?
I don't want multiple homepages and when the update is
done a one time little splash screen would be acceptable,
but to take over the home page designation is not.

[Firefox-->Preferences']*-->Advanced [Update]

When Updates to Firefox are found:

0 Ask me what I want to do

Or turn off automatic update notification

The 'update completed' page is on the first startup after an update,
then it returns to normal. i.e. You get an update, install it, restart
Firefox, and it automatically goes to the update page the FIRST time
(and the only time) it is started

Thank you. AS long as it goes away after the first time,
I can live with it. Besides, that sounds OK anyway.

Thanks again for your time.

For the Optional Settings in Windows:
Options/Advanced/Update
All he could want is there.
