I have tried to setup the seamonkey newsreader to read google groups

but I cannot retrieve the group names and subscribe.

You use a **Web browser** to access Web sites like
http://groups.google.com
A newsreader is used to access NNTP addresses like
news:mozilla.support.seamonkey
