It would seem that Dan (Moz Champ) residing in Canada (.ca) has

Seriously;
I would send an abuse report to Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd - Bombay,
India at both:

not worth the stress - I had about 20 (twenty) virus warnings this

As you can see, AVG caught it as well!

Now you see why I get the 'warm fuzzies' when I see that message on the
end of an email telling me it is safe because it SAYS it was checked.

Generally, when one receives an E-mail from a troll, it's bad form to
repost the whole damn thing in any newsgroup.

What were you thinging??

No, no, the statement on an email that it was checked by such and such a
program means NOTHING, as I could just as easily copy that from
another message, and add it to my message (along with whatever virus I
wanted you to get).

Could you stop dancing (p.i.) around the question?

Do you or do you not have the fortitude to put out there your motive?
What you think I don't "get" may be quite wrong, and I suspect at some
level you know this, and are reluctant to state anything at all; hence
all the feinting and dodging- dancing if you will.

yes I know Dan is in Ontario, but its not hard to pretend you're
somewhere else, and I'm a prime example of that. Right now I'm in
Austin, Arkansas. Previously, I've been in Germany, Washington, DC,
Holland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, and a few other places, and yet I
live somewhere near Dan.

Well, we don't know what he had in mind as he hasn't said in spite of
questions.

However, there's almost no chance our Dan sent him an e-mail, much less
an infected one. Nor that any other Champ would have, so I don't get
reg's Subject line, unless it's simply too funny for my comprehension.

That's not the issue with Dan, he is not pretending to be anywhere in
order to send netsky. Its a zombie with his address in it. and you know
that as well as I do. To even suggest that Dan is sending out this stuff
is nonsense.

well, we really don't know that. He has disputed it.

Now, lets talk about something else. This message was tripled posted.
One to the thunderbird ng, one to the ff ng, and one to the general ng.
So, why is it only showing up on the thunderbird ng? Whats happened
to the others? Why aren't they showing up there?

They are showing up in all three groups to which they are crossposted.
I'm reading them only in the Firefox group. Probably, your newsreader
is not showing you messages which have already been marked as read, so
you only see them in the first group you take a look at.

I've set the f-u to m.s.thunderbird.

Hmm . . . totally different sense of scale, it seems: Dan's about three
times as far away from me as I am from you. :-P
