I cannot tell you how thrilled and thankful I am that we now have a
reader view built into Firefox. I would first publicly like to thank
Mozilla for this wonderful change. As a blind screen reader user, this
is a feature I've been wanting for a long time.
My one question about it is that I'm wondering if there is a keyboard
shortcut which can be used to activate the reader view, as opposed to
going into the View menu. It would be very nice to have one.

I don't see one in the list of Keyboard Shortcuts accessible from Help
> Keyboard Shortcuts.

Unfortunately not every site or page on a site enables Reader View.

One users useless feature is a useful feature to other users.

It has been proposed as a bug:

Add "about:reader?url=" before the address will enforce Reader View.
