I'm trying to adjust a gmail setting, and when I click on the link I
get a message saying "Grr!! A popup block may be preventing Gmail from
opening this page. Try disabling the blocker and try again."

I have disabled every pop-up blocker I know about on my machine, and
this error persists. Is this a known FireFox problem or does it live
within Gmail?

Thanks.

Disregard this post. The problem was with Norton, not Firefox.

Apparently michaelberrier felt compelled to write for all posterity:

I don't use GMail. But, you could try:

Tools > Options > Content

The first setting is Block pop-up windows, next to that is the
[exceptions] button.

Click that and in the new window which opens, add your gmail URI. I
think that should work for you. You might have to restart FF once you
have made this addition before it works.

Try holding down the Ctrl button to bypass most popup blockers whilst you
click on the item.
