Using Thunderbird 17.0.4 and Firefox 21.0. When I pick on a link in
Thunderbird it takes almost a minute to bring up the page. If I copy the
link location and paste it in Firefox it appears very quickly.
I also determined that the same thing happens when I pick on a link in
Google mail or Yahoo mail. FF is set up for the default.
Any suggestions where the problem may be?

Also determined that if I use IE as the default browser then e mail
links in Thunderbird will pick up vey quickly. The problem seems to be
related to Firefox in some manner. I also tried an earlier version of FF
and got the some results as the latest version.

What extensions do you have in Firefox that may be causing a slow down?

Have you tried Firefox Safe Mode?

This is happening here too... I think after the lastest FF update.

Only took 5.25 seconds to open Firefox, and display a site when I
clicked a link in Thunderbird according to about:healthreport.

Do you get the warning message that Firefox was slow to start?

Did you try the suggestion I gave to John in my reply to his post?

I tried safe mode and there was no difference. For some reason a list of
my add ons also does not show up. I believe that I have 5 of them.

Hopefully this will help.
