1) is there an expected release date for FF2?

2) What are the odds that all of my existing extensions will continue
working?
Launchy
Edit Config Files
Image Zoom
FireFoxView
IE View
IE Tab
Tabbrowser Prefs
Tab Mix Plus
Disable Tagets for Downloads
Copy Plain Text
Nuke Anything Enhanced
Remove it Permanetly
Colorful Tabs

3) Ok this isn't FF2 related.
Looking at the list of my extentions above, which are *totally* redundant?
Eg. Tabbrowser Prefs vs Tab Mix Plus?
Diable Targets vs Tab Mix Plus?

1) When its ready.

Not to be flip, but they are at RC2 now, and testing. It should be
soon, but we will see if there is an RC3 before release.

2) I am sure some will have updated. Some extension writers simply
don't go through the Addons site. You may have to seek updated versions
from their own web pages.

There is a developer version of Tab Mix Plus that works with the RC's,
so that will probably be updated quickly on the release.

I don't use any of your others, so i can't say.

3) Uninstall Tabbrowser Preferences. Tab Mix Plus has all its
functionality and more, and you may even find some conflicts between them.

You will and 2.0RC's don't allow them to be installed together IIRC.

Chris Barnes (original poster)
updated from addons.mozilla.org/firefox by "Nir"
some possible substitutes by D.McRitchie

Launchy Firefox 0.7 - 3.0 ALL
Edit Config Files Firefox 1.0 - 1.5.0.* ALL

create a keyword shortcut for your profile and for you chrome directories
create a windows shortcut for your profile directory

Image Zoom Firefox 1.0 - 2.0.0.* ALL
FireFoxView Firefox 0.9 - 1.6 Windows

really gets installed with IE so wonder if it really is dependent on FF version at all

IE View Firefox 1.0 - 2.0.0.* ALL

use Launchy instead, put Launchy button to far right of location bar
instead of clicking on folder then application from context menu
less clutter and a lot more functionality

IE Tab Firefox 1.5 - 3.0a1 Windows

Tabbrowser Prefs Firefox 1.5 - 1.5.0.* ALL
Tab Mix Plus Firefox 1.0 - 1.6 ALL
Disable Tagets for Downloads Firefox 0.8 - 1.5.0.* ALL
Copy Plain Text Firefox 0.7 - 1.5.0.* ALL

install Pure Text good cross any Windows application -- http://www.stevemiller.net/apps/

Nuke Anything Enhanced Firefox 1.0 - 1.6 ALL

perhaps Adblock, GreaseMonkey & Platypus (just guessing)

Remove it Permanetly Firefox 0.9 - 1.5.0.* ALL

didn't think it was current, try GreaseMonkey & Platypus combination (just guessing)

Colorful Tabs Firefox 1.0 - 1.6 ALL

doubtful that you'd really miss this, in preference to Fx2
watch for update at his page http://varun21.googlepages.com/main.html

My own critical additions -- D.McR

AdBlock Firefox 0.7 - 2.0.0.* ALL
AdBlock Plus Firefox 1.5 - 3.0a1 ALL
CopyURL+ maxVersion 1.6 <-- this one will probably be the one to delay me
GreaseMonkey maxVersion 2.0
Platypus maxVersion 2.0
Linky maxVersion 2.0+
Menu Editor Firefox 1.5 - 2.0.0.* ALL
Search Engine Ordering (functionality builtin with Firefox 2)
