OK, let's start with some simple tests.

Test 1. Try these two web pages

1a http://www.houndsofheaven.com/baner.htm
1b http://www.wtv-zone.com/bluefox/bgsound.html

Do you hear music playing?
(Note: the music doesn't repeat after it gets to the end, so don't go out
for a long cup of coffee while the page loads.)

If you hear sound, then you already have a plug-in for sound files.
Go on to test #2.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
If you do not hear sound, then you may need to install and configure
a browser plug-in for playing sound files.

Plug-ins can be downloaded from
(a) http://plugins.netscape.com/ (for sound, the choices are
QuickTime or RealPlayer).
(b) http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows.html
(for sound, the choices are QuickTime, RealPlayer, or
Windows Media Player).

2. Try these two web pages

2a http://www.rocketcitychorus.com/Chorus.html
2b http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/backmusic.shtml

Do you hear music playing?

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
If you hear sound in 1a and 1b, but not in 2a or 2b, then you need
to turn on Javascript in Firefox.

Tools -> Options -> Content
[x] Enable JavaScript
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

3. If you hear sound in both test 1 and test 2 but you still don't
hear sound on some websites, can you please post a link.
