And as well (for me), v84.0.2 somehow decided to change the update
setting to 'automatically install'.

I re-set it back to 'tell me'... closed and opened... uninstalled...
downloaded and installed v85.0 myself. And guess what, the radio
button which is now a Big Blue Circle had gone to 'auto'.

That r-e-a-l-l-y annoys me when software changes a setting.

Looks like this is the new normal, every Firefox update lately changes
the setting to "auto update" and the same thing happens to Thunderbird.
Very annoying indeed. :-(

It has nothing to do with Win10 Defender or any AV app. The same thing
is happening with Thunderbird. It's a Mozilla idiosyncrasy problem. :-(
