Wall Street Journal problem

Somehow my Firefox 3.5.7 does not get along with the Wall Street Journal online
since they did some redesign work. The URL below takes one to a normal WSJ
article which displays properly. (not sure if the URL works for everyone or if a
subscription is required) If you click on the "Slideshow" tab however FF
displays the normal formatted text of the page, but not the photographs or slide
show controls. It works properly with IE however - ver 8, FWIW.

I've also tried to see the page using FF and the "IE Tab" add-on. When I do
this, the page comes up formatted correctly with space for the photos, but the
wait symbol just rotates forever and does not load the images.

The question of course is whether I can fix FF with some bit of configuration or
whether it's more fundamental. I've looked at things, and have all of the
JavaScript features activated, but haven't found any way to make it work with FF.

Thanks.

Bill

The slide show is run by a javascript. Do you have javascript enabled?
Do you have any addons installed that might be blocking it (add
blocking extensions, for example)? Have you tried opening the page in
with Firefox running in safe mode?

I have no problem viewing the slide show which is why I asked all of the
questions above.

-------------------------

There was an ad blocking extension that was the problem. Thanks for pointing me
in this direction.

Let us know which extension so others can benefit from your experience.

It was Adblock Plus. Once I realized it, I could tell it to exclude that web
site from its block list.
