I'm also using Tab Mix Plus and Tree Style Tabs. There is no longer a
'protect tab' right-click function available, and links from email
messages open a whole new FF browser rather than simply the new tab as
requested.

Is there a workaround?

Additional problem: In the 'History' menu, the 'restore' options are
greyed out. When I restart it opens on a blank page no matter what I
do, and I have to click on the 'bookmarks toolbar' down the left side
separately.

Does someone have the link for downloading FF15 for linux? All I can
find are 16 and 3.x; I haven't downloaded a tarball since FF6.

Updating to 0.4.0.3 from 0.4.0.2 did the trick. Why are some solutions
to problems so SIMPLE provided you know what they are?

Later versions of FF have screwed up both TMP and Tab Utilities (and
probably other tab-related extensions). It's a good idea to investigate
any developmental builds when having tab issues.

The "stuck" tab problem I had with 15 has persisted through to the 16.01
version.
(Windoze, XP Home SP3)
Still sporadic and unpredictable - only solution is to Exit and
Restart. Had it again this afternoon.

FWIW, I'm using TMP 0.4.0.3 with FF 16.0.1 with no problems.

Bev's problem was solved by updating TMP to the latest version. By
default, Firefox updates extensions automatically, so I assume she just
turned that off and didn't check for updates often enough.

Chris,
I have Firefox set to automatically update the extensions, but it
doesn't do this. I have to remember to check for updates periodically,
and do them manually. Any ideas?

No, she updated to a developmental build, only available (currently) on
their support forum. I had to do the same thing with Tab Utilities a
short while back.

It may seem that way because Sailfish pointed her there, but she says
she "Updating to 0.4.0.3 from 0.4.0.2".

0.4.0.3 is the latest end-user version at
<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/>.
The dev build Sailfish pointed to was 0.4.0.4pre.120724a.

I neglected to mention that I'm using the linux version. Carry on.

The GOOD news is that the problem requiring multiple restarts in order
to have the scrollbars appear (due to the Aeon Clouds theme I like)
disappeared with either the FF 16.0.1 or TMP update. WOO-HOO!

I tell it to ask what to do when it finds a FF update, but to update the
extensions automatically. From now on I think I'll just check
deliberately every once in a while.
