Where does *.json live?
Else... how to use it?

export to html looks like it's not trustworthy.

What operating system and version of Firefox?

Are trying to backup your bookmarks?

With Firefox on Linux it looks like you click Backup and put the .json
file wherever you want.

Windows 7, Firefox 50.1.0

This is not a new issue for me.
I keep wiping out my bookmarks trying to use Firefox SYNC and keep losing my most recent bookmarks.
The early version of FF SYNC worked good for me.

I'm trying to manually cover my tail a little better, so I'm trying to get familiar with export and backup to see with
which one I will be more comfortable.
I used to just rely on the .JSON file years past.

The difference is that .json will replace the bookmarks if you restore
it, whereas .html will append to the bookmarks if you import that. They
both work.
