The Java web site says my Java is installed correctly.
Java vendor: Sun Microsystems
JRE Version: 1.4.2_02-ea
Operating System Linux
OS Version 2.4.20-8

Why can't I install the Java plugin into Firefox 2.0.0.5 on my Acer
Laptop AMD 64bit dual core.

I understand Java 1.4.2 supports 64bit.

I have Javascript and Java checked in Preferences/Content.

Why don't it work????

On 7/26/2007 3:49 PM, Thunderbird leader Broderick Crawford by teletype
announced:

First of all the version of Java you have is obsolete. The current
version is 1.6.0_u2. In order for the Java plugins to be valid you must
have the full runtime for the correct operating system installed. The
plugins function as a data transfer path between Fx and the Java run
time environment.
