Why is there no "Print..." choices in the right-click menu?
Is there a way to add one? I like right clicking and choose "Print"

Why not = Context (Menu) Bloat
There is a perfectly good sensible keyboard short cut (Ctrl+P)

Printing is not much of a context entry (in my opinion), the only real
type of context is if there is a selection and you specify that you
want to print the selection from the Print dialog anyway.

Context menus are fairly intuitive, but if you take a look at what
the context menus show under different situations you might get
a much better feel for them, suggest you look at my
Right-Click Menus and Toolbars in Firefox
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/firefox/rightff.htm
They change based on what you right-click on:
toolbars, bookmarks, tabs, body, links, images, forms,
status bar items; and that includes combinations like
link & image & body

The Print shortcut is clearly marked in the File menu, but
you should become familiar with your Help, Keyword Shortcuts

correction: I meant Keyboard shortcuts

Well, if you have a page with several frames and want to print just
one of them. A right-click in that frame and select "print frame" is
nice. I guess I got used to this menu when using IE6 :-)

So again, is there a way to add "print" and "print frame" to the menu?

Ahh, yes, I remember, Netscape used to have ways of isolating
frames too, perhaps on the View menu. Try this extension see
if it does any good and name a URL example, if someone wants to
play with it. I'm trying to think if Firefox had something, doesn't seem
likely that something like that would be dropped so probably not.

QuickFrame, by Stefan Stammler
Allows quick access to frame functions via the context menu
by overriding "Reload", "View Page Source" and "View Page Info".
Instead of being applied to the main window, those functions now
do the same as the corresponding functions in the "This Frame"
submenu, which is the a intuitive "context" for the context menu.

I guess this is the answer for Firefox, but don't have a frame page,
and might even suppress aspects of them.

The Print/Print Preview extension gives a right-click option to Print or
Print Preview.

Sorry, Should have given you this link -
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1778/
This is the one I have. The other one above is just called "print
preview" and there isn't a screen print for either so can't tell what is
different between them.

Mr. McRitchie,

I guess I am asking the same question, is there a way to specificially
a "print selection" to the right click context menu?

I don't care/want a print, print preview.

For me, I seem to always highlight something and want to print a
selection. yes, I know I can do a ctrl + p or file print and then
choose print selection.

I use FF 1.5 and hyperwords USED to have Print selection, but now...for
whatever reason they changed the print options to print or print
preview only and no more print selection (right click context menu
option).

"the only real type of context is if there is a selection and you
specify that you
want to print the selection from the Print dialog anyway. "

I guess it may depend on the printer you have but when I right click and
select "Print" I get a printer dialogue box with three options - one of
which is to only print the "Selection". My printer is an Epson, BTW.

Any help?
