Safe Mode in FF 3.0.1

When starting FF 3.0.1 in safe mode with "firefox.exe -safe-mode"
command FF loads straight away in safe mode without popping up the
"Safe Mode window" for additional options.

How could i show this option window before FF comes to the safe mode?

I am also running FF3.01 in WinXP Pro SP3. After following you instruction:

FF have been already selected as my default browser.
Show as internet was selected.
Select "Safe Mode" in the right click menu from the icon in the left
pane of the start menu.

Still no luck, FF starts safe mode right away no option window.

Any other advice.
