In Firefox Focus, I've found that long pressing on the URL bar gives me
an option to *add* links to autocomplete, but I have found no way to
remove links.

The shipped default has reddit.com as an autocomplete with a higher
priority than reuters.com, but I'll visit Reuters at least 10x as often
as Reddit. Similarly it has walmart.com as higher priority than
washingtonpost.com, but I expect to visit walmart.com approximately zero
percent of ever.

How can I remove links to make the Focus more focused on what I want?

mostly visits reddit following some link anyway; never starts there

You can check to ignore History and this might be better for you.  The only suggestions would be from Bookmarks and  Open Tabs.  See this picture:

You can delete the entry by clicking on the drop-down list and high-lighting the entry that appears in the list (but don't click on it; Just high-light it) and then pressing the DELETE button.  I just tried it and it works on Windows 10.

It's in the app Settings.
1. In the bottom-right corner, tap on the gear icon.
2. Go to URL_Autocomplete-->Manage_Sites.
3. Tap Edit.
4. Tap the red icon beside the URL you want to delete.

Firefox Focus has no History. That's part of the feature set of "Focus".
It's a bit like private tabs all the time.

has his desktop regular Firefox set to suggest to "bookmarks" only

This four step process does not work on Android. Perhaps I should have
been clearer about that. On Android "Manage Sites" in "URL Autocomplete"
only allows me to remove sites I personally have added.

Maybe the only solution is remove all "top sites" and re-enter the ones
I actually want?

I note that the text for "For Top sites" "For Sites You Add" have
different capitalization styles, and worse, have the same description
"Enable to autocomplete more than 450 popular URLs in the address bar."

Hi Eli,
While I'm not on Android, try clicking on "Manage Sites" in the screen
you posted an image of.

I've pointed it out here: <https://www.screencast.com/t/TXvcEjd6>

Maybe it's obvious only to me, but having found that screen I, of
course, have already tried that link. It takes me to a page that lets me
delete my own ersatz bookmarks ("add to autocomplete"s) but doesn't let
me influence the built in set in any way.

It also appears to show the autocompletes are stored sans URL scheme
which would perhaps be why a page I know I added as https:// now loads
as http:// when I enter it and accept the autocomplete.

I like the fast history erase of Firefox Focus, but why were real
bookmarks removed? Storing the user's explicit profile settings
(preferences and bookmarks) while nuking all other aspects of the
profile regularly seems like it would be the most understandable
use case.

In that case, I'm not sure what feature you're referring to. I'm on iOS.
Maybe there's an Focus for Android user here that can help. If not,
there's a forum at

I was able to disable *all* distributed "autocomplete" directions with
that, and then add back in the ones I wanted as manual. Now, however,
they have stopped working. Firefox Focus gives me the option of adding
URLs to autocomplete when I long click on them, but they don't actually
work.

What bug tracker is used for Firefox Focus Android?
