I contacted the Guardian 5 days ago and they asked for some details but I
never heard back from them again and I don't know if they looked into the
problem in any detail or figured out what is wrong. The crashes, however,
continue.
You might try upgrading to XP.
Hi Mickey,
FWIW the Gruniard site is rock-solid here under Windows 2000 and FF 2.0.0.4

If there is more information I should be posting please let me know; I'm not
very familiar with Event Viewer.
I'll also do more testing to see if the problem occurs on other computers.

No problem here at all, using Firefox 2.0.0.4.

Have you tried starting Firefox in "Safe Mode" -- to see whether
the problem still occurs when Firefox is running in "Safe Mode"?

Cheers,
Ralph
I tried the original computer with Firefox in Safe Mode and got the same
crash. The original computer runs Vista Business, and the one unusual thing
about the computer is that it is a Tablet PC with various features such as
Pen Flicks turned on.
Does anyone have further suggestion as to things to check or do? I'll also
see if others using Tablet PCs can reproduce the problem.

We still don't know what the problem is, but this may explain why some see
the problem and others don't.

Vista on Tablets: crash in 2 of 2 cases
XP on Tablet: crash in 1 of 1 case
Vista non-Tablet: OK in 3 of 3 cases
It seems this is a problem that requires Tablet PC + Firefox + Guardian to
occur. On both Vista and XP, the crashes occur even in Safe Mode.
I'll let the Guardian folks know so they can reproduce the problem if they
can find a Tablet PC, and I'll file a Firefox bug.
Any other ideas on how to get this figured out?
