Partially downloaded file is lost in firefox. Big Problem

hi. Here is the story, Please read carefully.

Earlier i was downloading a 3.7 GB file in Mozilla. The file was .ISO format. Around 2 GB of file was downloaded. But unfortunately i refreshed the Firefox then it restarted and i see an "Old Firefox Data" folder in my desktop

That download is now restarted from 0MB again :) :) :) The total size of that folder "Old Firefox Data" is 25.6 MB which means that the incomplete download file (around 2GB) is not in that folder.

Please tell me how to find partially downloaded file and resume download from that partially downloaded file.

Be patient, but can you define "refreshed". Is the F5 or reload or update? I'm unclear.

In the directory to which you were downloading, is there a file with
extension .part? If not, the partial download is gone.

If the .part file does exist, then you need to restore the file
downloads.json from the Old Firefox Data to your new profile folder.
There's a link at the bottom of
<https://support.mozilla.org/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings>
which will get you to help with finding the new profile folder.

"Refresh" for Firefox is actually reset. It means that the saved data
is discarded and the settings and most data is removed. Presumably the
data about downloads is part of the discarded data.

See other posts, but it also - AFAIK - needs to be the case that the
site you are downloading from supports "reget", or the equivalent in
whatever protocol it's using: in other words, _allows_ a fetch from part
way through a file. Many do, but not all.

.....and by the time you've tried all the suggested fixes, a fresh
download will be completed.

FWIW, I'd not have any other d/l while getting that file. Multiple
downloads are s-l-o-o-o-w.
