Hi,
I upgraded Firefox today and tried to access the following link
https://www.corpretail.com/servlet/HomeBank
I got a message saying that the certificate could not be verified. I
closed and re-started firefox a few times. Now it has stopped showing
that message and opens the page properly. But, I never accepted the
site's certificate. Is there some problem ? BTW, both Opera and
Konqueror warn me when I try to open that page.

Regards,

-Rahul S.

I didn't find that path. I went to
edit>preferences>advanced>view certificates>web sites
I didn't find 'www.corpretail.com' there.

Then that cert. has not been installed.
please check two things:
1.start FF in safe mode
cd path/to/Firefox/program/folder
./firefox -safe-mode

2.make it sure that you are using https

Don't know if this will help, but you might want to try deleting the
associated cookie, close out the browser, and start again.

The default behaviour is to accept the cert for the session, so if you've
been starting and exiting Fx, the behaviour might in some way be linked to
the cookie.

That said, I don't know for sure. . . .

In safe mode, it is giving the warning. After restarting in "non-safe"
mode, it is still giving the warning. As Brian pointed out, there must
have been a cookie which was causing the warning to not be displayed.
Strange thing is that when it was not showing the warning, the page info
was showing "website identity verified" ...

What I suggested worked for the OP; has there been an occasion on which the
Resident Troll has provided pertinent input or advice (as opposed to just
being impertinent)?

I don't know. IT was here long before I came on board here late in
November. However when I started posting, I did receive several emails
from posters here, including one former Moz Champ, declaring that I was
Garth. Some of them were down right rude and very insulting. One even
threatened me with mail-bombs.

This OE extension is not bad. Pity it only works in the system tray. Anyway
