I also use Maxthon browser, and I'm very used to the 'mouse gestures'
feature it has.

Is this possible with Firefox?

I don't know what kind of gestures Maxthon uses, but you have a choice
of at least three different extensions for Firefox gestures.

"All-in-One Gestures" features a standard gestures capability
(https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/12/) as does "Mouse Gestures"
(https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/39/), but I like "Easy Gestures"
(http://easygestures.mozdev.org/) which adds a pie menu so you can learn
as you gesture and you can customize the pie very easily.

There may be some other new mouse gestures programs, but I haven't heard
of them. :-)

Thanks, it doesn't work exactly the same way, but good enough.

some years ago, I used a mouse gesture that would work for ALL programs
I used. I'm sure if you search you can find such a program.
Unfortunately, I can't remember its name, but search for mouse gesture.
