What's wrong with you guys? It looks like you've *specifically* blocked Duck Duck Go from showing up on new tabs for me when it's the site I visit the most! It shows up in adress bar auto-complete URL just fine but won't show anymore on my most visited sites list (options / home / Homepage and new windows / Firefox Home Content / Top Sites checkbox: ON ). Please explain yourself as it used to show up just fine. And I haven't visited Google in months and yet it's still the "top, top site"! Further, I *never* *ever* asked for "@amazon.ca" search to be installed into FF in any way and yet it shows up in "top sites.

If you're going to mess around with the top sites list to (I assume) make some ad bucks), then at least give us the ability to disable it in favour of our own home page - which right now is only available on New Windows and HOME. And WTF is with that anyway? You let us point to a page of our choice (in my case, a machine local HTML page with all my most visited sites) for new windows and HOME but not for new tabs? Seriously, what are you guys smoking?? FIX THIS already and give us back the control you keep telling us (lying to us!) that FF gives over the other browsers. Brave is starting to look better and better and FF is becoming less relevant every release. Yeah, you talk a lot about privacy but then you do stuff like the above. Shame on ya FF team.

P.S. I've been using FF since the very first release; I've been a huge booster over the years and always recommended it to clients and friends over Chrome and IE/Edge. I'm rethinking that now; you're just making me sad with what you've been doing.

DuckDuckGo is one of the search engines built into Firefox, and probably
wouldn't show unless you specifically added it to the Top Sites section
by moving the mouse pointer to the right, which brings the hidden 3 dot
menu button into view.

Then click the menu button and select "Add Search Engine". Select
@duckduckgo and click "Save".

This might help

Hi Arne,
From your wording, I get the impression that you think you are directly
contacting developers or Mozilla employees. You are not. This is a
community support forum. The people that answer questions here are users
just like you, volunteering their time.

If you'd like to add Duck Duck Go or any site to the top sites row of
the New Tab page, hover the mouse pointer anywhere within a section of
tiles and click on the three-dot menu that appears in the upper right
corner of the section, then choose "Add Search Engine".
For more information, check out the following article:
<https://support.mozilla.org/kb/customize-new-tab-page>

Also, don't forget that there's a search bar built into the New Tab
page! Go to Options-->Home, and check mark "Web Search".
