Hi mozilla team,

Will you plan to implement the "double tap zoom" function into the
Firefox desktop?
As the code exists for the mobile version, do you think it will be
easy to port it?

Thank you

Seriously, there are already zoom functions built in, the one I use the
most is cntrl + mouse-wheel to zoom in/out. Or cntrl + + to zoom in and
cntrl + - to zoom out and cntrl + 0 to reset. There are also several
addons that will add zoom in/out buttons on the toolbar.

If you have a laptop, you have something called "touchpad". :)

The doubleTap zoom is also implemented on desktop version of Safari.
Also, this is a smart zoom which adapts the paragraph to the width of
the window, i'm rather interested bye he "smart" side of the zoom but
with a "touchpad", it's intuitive.

Thank you for you help anyway.

Before I answer, it should be clarified that the people in here are

There are plans to implement it on Mac 10.7, but no specific target. I
don't know about Linux. In the meantime, there may be an extension at
https://addons.mozilla.org/ that does what you want. Or you can add zoom
buttons to the toolbar.
See <http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-zoom> and

Thank Chris,

But the mozilla support channel is quite "labyrinthic" I didn't find
any forum/group for asking for features, I don't even see to point of
some groups.
(another debat :) )

And no, there is not such addons, smart zoom à la "safari" or
"Opera".

If You can point me to the right forum/group, it would be nice of you.

Thank you

Best Regards,
Slaq
