Hello
I use firefox (iceweasel) 23 in Linux as a debian package. Since last
upgrade *all* addons are marked as deactivated, but working. For test
purposes I installed a new addon- same behavior, working, but marked as
deactivated.

Firefox 23 is a development version, is experimental, and may be unstable.
You may have better luck asking your question on the Debian users forum.
