How can I get it in Firefox 79 64 bit in Kubuntu 20.04?

--
There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury and ammo.
Please use in that order.

The soap box represents exercising one's right to freedom of speech to influence politics to defend liberty.
The ballot box represents exercising one's right to vote to elect a government which defends liberty.
The jury box represents using jury nullification to refuse to convict someone being prosecuted for breaking an unjust law that decreases liberty.
The ammo box represents exercising one's right to keep and bear arms to oppose, in armed conflict, a government that decreases liberty.

I was having trouble following these directions in live current Neon
based on Ub 20.04. That is, I couldn't see on mine what they were saying.

https://itsfoss.com/netflix-firefox-linux

So I did some tweaking w/ synaptic and updating its default ffx to 79
and checking in its plugins and about:config and tweaked one widevine in
about:config to true from some other setting (not false), and added some
codecs according to the link above and then everything looked ok about
the widevine and openh264 in plugins and DRM in preferences.

I didn't actually test playing anything operationally.

The above msg is in error; I was mistaken about the Neon v. That one was
before the Neon was upped to be based on Ub 20.04 which happened after
20.04.1 was released.

The newer live Neon already has Ffx 79. The widevine setting to be
tweaked in about:config says boolean, number, string which I changed to
true.

Widevine didn't show in the plugins section but openh264 did but said it
'was about' to be upped by Cisco, so I used the tool icon to update it.
Widevine wasn't showing there yet. Then I found the DRM setting to be
unchecked. After that was checked, widevine appeared in the plugins,
also saying to be updated. I again used the tool to update it, clearing
the yellow warning.

When I wanted widevine to get Netflix running in Kodi on rPi, I found
how to extract it from Chrome (or was it chromium?) packages

Hmm

about:config shows

media.gmp-widevinecdm.enabled true

media.gmp-widevinecdm.visible true

media.gmp.decoder.aac 0

media.gmp.decoder.enabled true

But it's still not showing in about:addons

I'm attempting to watch Peacock which it seems requires DRM. After all
the above this morning Firefox showed a yellow strip across the top to
enable DRM but it still fails. On the up side Widevine now shows in
about:addons and "Always Active". I'm watching just fine in Windows.
Need to do a bit more digging I think.

Something I saw or observed somewhere gave me the impression that some
services deliberately prevent playback on open source browsers.

It works fine in Windows Firefox and on my Linux laptop Firefox.

Currently Disney+ does not recognize Linux. Netflix had the same
problem. It's a minor configuration change but THEY have to make it.
We're helpless on our end.

I assumed it was because the open source nature of Linux meant it'd be
easier for pirates to create a modified OS which included a means of
capturing the video to a file as it played, played it out to HDMI
without HDCP or any number of other schemes to make it easier to pirate
the video in full or high quality.

If a pirate wants to capture HDMI playback it's easier to spend a few
£100 on a hardware device ...

I figured it would be just as easy to mount a video camera on a tripod
and record the show off my 65" TV... but that's just me...

A hardware device can't be distributed over the internet to an army of
teens hungry to pirate movies.
