Have you filed complaints at AOL? This obviously is a matter for their
devs.

As far as I can tell, there is no way to file a complaint at AOL if
you are not a paying member. I was just trying to see if anyone else
was having any problems. I have since found another post that
indicates that someone else is having issues as well so I can
hopefully conclude that it is not just me. I guess I'll try using aol
webmail w/FF again in a few days and see if it works.

Yes, the "Contact Us" page states you must be a member for Service
support. Free indeed...
I just spent a half hour or so on it without problems.
Might try flashblock as it appears to use a lot of flash and kept my
flashblock busy.

FWIW, I just brought up webmail.aol.com in two tabs in the same browser
window, one tab showing my mail, and another showing my calendar. No
crashes.
I even made the two tabs show my Inbox, and it still worked "well" (or
as well as can be expected) - each tab opens up a different message
window when you click on a message (total of 2 such windows opened), but
otherwise, no surprises (certainly no crashes).
Try checking your extensions. Start with a new profile and see if your
crashes still persist. If they don't, then try to track down which of
your extensions is causing the problems.
I uninstalled FF; deleted the program folders and the folders under
"documents and settings" (so a new profile except I copied in a backup
of my bookmarks); rebooted; and re-installed FF 2.0.0.3. The only
extensions I have are DOM Inspector 1.8.1.3 and Talkback 2.0.0.3 and I'm
using the default theme.
On a second computer, everything seems to work fine so it appears to be
something specific to this machine.
Any further suggestions? Are there registry settings I should look at?
Thanks
I am having the same problem. I log into AOL via Firefox, and have
done so for years now without any issues...but the 'New AOL' appeared
yesterday or Monday and is where the problem began. Any time I simply
try and do anything on AOL or even attempt to shut it down, it crashes
Firefox completely, and asks to Restore or Start New next time I log
in. Is there any fix or anything I can do on the Firefox side? I am
no longer a paying AOL customer, so don't know what to do on their
end.
I have the most recent version of firefox.
I was hoping there a plugin or some type of fix from Forefox. In any
event, please assist or advise if you know anything. Thanks in
advance.

Remove any cookies related to AOL, AIM, Screen Name, etc. and try again.
Mine works just fine, no problems.

I deleted all my cookies and was able to access AOL webmail (and the
calendar in another window) all day w/no problems. Just needed some
house cleaning I guess....
