Is there some way I can increase the amount of time Firefox has before
it times out? I am having problems with Firefox when surfing, it times
out really quickly, and if I use IE to look at the same page it will
show the page, even if it does take a long time for it to show up.

Thanks.

Write about:config in the address line. Than Enter. In the filter you
can write timeout. Than you see the timeout options that you can change.
But you should know what you do. The http timeout is set to 300. If I am
right it is 300ms. 300ms = 0,3 sec. You could put a higher number
instead. But I would wait what others say to it because I am not sure if
it is right.

Hi, thanks for the message, but I am not quite sure about what you are
trying to tell me. Bit slow I am. :( Is there anybody else that knows
how to change the time out problems?

Than you. :)

You're not slow. Spiderman didn't explain it properly. Even
I had a hard time understanding what he was saying.

Anyways, in the address bar, thats where you type in some
web site, type in:

about:config

and hit the enter key. Now, when it comes up, look for the
line that says Filter. In that line type in the word:

timeout

and when you do, you'll get a list of items. Look for the
one that says:

network.http.keep-alive.timeout

once found, double click on it and change the setting to
something higher.
