Page Update Checker

or
Check4Change

sound about right. I've not used either, though.

Files From The Not To Swift Department . . .
I was checking out at the local Wal-Mart with just a few items and The
lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up
one of those "dividers" that they keep by the cash register and placed
it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed. After the girl had
scanned all of my items, she picked up the "divider", looking it all
over for the bar code so she could scan it. Not finding the bar code
she said to me, "Do you know how much this is?" I said to her "I've
changed my mind, I don't think I'll buy that today." She said "OK,"
and I paid her for the things and left. She had no clue what had just
happened.
The replies by "Teester" appear to be checking pages that are
loaded so you don't have to hit the "Reload" button. But if notification
of webpage changes is what you really want, I don't see that you would
even want an extension at all. Watch that Page will send you an email
when any of your watched pages changed. You can categorize the
pages into folders. http://www.watchthatpage.com
You can have pages checked daily to spot when a monthly newsletter
might be available. I even check my main page for a look at what
was changed, another day and a text view tends to spot errors and
alert you to changes. So you can't actually tell what specific words or
sentences were added, or if text was rearranged, but it works out fairly well.
I've tried others, but they just tell you a page was changed without
indicating what was changed. It only shows lines or paragraphs of
what text has been change to read, not what it had been, but that is
sufficient to let you know if you want to check it out.
