Hi,

I have firefox set up to block cookies and I've configured a list of
exceptions.
How do I allow local web pages to use cookies. (E.g.
file:///C:/TEMP/TEST.HTM)

I've tried localhost, C:, file:///C:

Any ideas?

Many thanks,
David Wilson

How do you set cookies from local files without using any webserver? Are
you using Javascript for that? I didn't even think that it could be
possible, is it? E.g. do the cookies work if you just allow all cookies?

If that works, go to see list of your cookies to see what url it uses.
Tools->options->privacy->cookies->show cookies...

Use that url to whitelist the url and then disable cookies from other
websites.

Here is some more info about cookies (which probably won't help you):

Yes - it works fine when I allow all cookies.

I'm trying to view: Effective C++ CD, which requires cookies be enabled.

I don't want to leave cookies on.

Cheers,
Dave
