default value of chache size

What is the default value of browser.cache.disk.capacity, in my firefox
config when is reseted to the default value change to 256000 but without
doing anything automodified to 1048576.

if is 1048576 the browsing slowdown to unnusable levels when is
clearing or perhaps the antivirus scanning.

One thing you have to realise is that the cache size is in MB so larger the number, more files are cached.

My custom setup is 5MB but I could do with only 1MB.  There is absolutely no need to have a larger cache size especially if you have a fast internet connection and you are not on metered subscription.

I am sure people would have their own setup but your figures are too large.  Also, you don't need to set this in About:Config and so please avoid changing anything in Mozilla setup files.  All the settings are done from Tools/Options UI interface.

This was before, now firefox move the site of the cache to per site info
integrated, you cant limit the global cache size only manage data per
site basis
